Staycation 'Must Haves'...

Yesterday was not only Canada's Birthday
it was also the start of my Staycation!
No work for me for 11 days!

To have a 'stay at home vacation' though
there are a few 'must haves' that one needs
in order to enjoy their time at home.

You need:

Plenty of sun! (check)
Watermelon (mmm... got it)
Lots of Color (check)
Funky Garden Ornaments (check-a-roo)
More Sun (uh-huh)
Adorable Wildlife (awww... sweet baby robin... yup... got that)
Running Water (yessiree)
Even More Sun (check)
An Owl Head with Plants (yup)
A Love For Staying Home (oh yes... plenty of that)
Have a Happy Weekend!
xo Catherine

Staycation sounds like the perfect type of break, just enjoy being at home in your pretty garden. I love all the little pieces of art you have in your garden. That owl is too cute. Enjoy your staycation!

A Staycation is really the best way to have a vacation with relaxation... Every time we GO somewhere on a vacation, when we get home, we're so tired that we need a vacation to get OVER the vacation ..... ha ha

Sounds like you will have a tremendous week... I hope so...

Catherine, Your flowers are so very pretty! I really like your mosaic. Your photos are very well done, and I particularly like the one with the melon and the one of the baby robin. Enjoy your time off, and hope you had a good Canada Day! Do you celebrate the way we celebrate our Independence Day in the U.S.?
Blessings, Beth

Dear Catherine,

It certainly looks like everything is in place for your stayvacation, besides looking at all the settings, I would not wish to leave if i were living there.

I love all the pictures but especially the one of the baby robin, it is precious.

Wishing you a wonderful forth of July and a grand smacking vacation,

Oh boy did I make a mistake! Just realized that after posting I should have noted not the forth of July but the Canadian holiday on July first.

Sorry for the error.

Have a wonderful staycation, Catherine! Looks like you are ready!

Sadly, mine ends on Monday and it's back to the grind. But I will say, the first week was particularly enjoyable when I didn't worry about the camera or blogging (not to say I don't enjoy blogging and visiting - I do!!). I just luxuriated in my critters!

And a very happy belated Canada Day! (Your neighbors can be quite oblivious, as I'm sure you know!) I'll be sure to raise a brew to our neighbors to the north tomorrow!!

I like to have time at home where I am not running here and there. I want to just rest sometimes and not have to do anything. Looks like you are ready to go with your staycation! Enjoy!
