Those are really great pictures of the dragonfly. I can't believe it was still long enough for you to get the pictures. It is kind of scary seeing one of them up so close. But good job.
Have a great day.

How beautiful Catherine, I didn't think it was real at first! It looks like glass. How neat you had the chance to get so many pictures, just like it posed for you!

What a Wonderful Picture... I Love it. I just love the wings on a dragonfly!

Last night I went for a swim and right there on the edge of the pool was a dragonfly.. It's like he was just watching me swim.. I ran and got my camera and thank goodness he was still there when I got back.. I snaped a couple of shot of him.. I think he was trying to stay cool by the water.
Just like me! He is blue with the biggest eyes.. I will post him soon..

I hope you have a wonderful day, and thanks for sharing your picture with us..

Hugs, Linda

I love dragonflies! Beautiful photos Catherine! I would love to get a photo of one of these too. Linda took such a lovely photo of her blue one too, wait till you see it on her post. I like the wings on your dragon fly. Hope your first day back was ok. We're still on the road, but I have to work early in the morning! Ugh!

Ha.... Love your last sentence.... Where do you work? You have probably told us--but I am blank this morning (which is usual for me I think)....

Love the intricacy of the dragonfly's wings... Aren't they gorgeous????

You got some great pictures, Catherine.
Hugs,
Betsy

What great pictures!! It looks really neat in black and white. We had a similar one like that sitting on the front walkway, I was sure it was dead but then it finally flew away.

Incredible photos of the dragonfly! I haven't seen one in a long time but I don't remember them being so still. The detail in the first photo makes it look way more scary than I imagined too!

What beautiful dragonflies!

I photographed an outdoor wedding a couple of weeks ago, and there were so many dragonflies, that when I looked at the images, they looked like helicopters flying in the distance! I debated whether or not I should keep them in (cause they looked a bit distracting) and decided that they were a magical part of the day so I kept them in.

They are so beautiful, aren't they?
