Don't Forget To Water Everything!

With all the heat the last two days
(even longer with much higher temperatures in other parts of the world)
as you are watering your flowers and your garden

~ don't forget ~
~ to water your pet ~
~ and stray animals need water too!
Poor bunny!
Not to worry
You know I made sure he/she had some
fresh water the last few days!! :)

PS: To whoever owns this bunny (and his brother/sister)
shame on you for letting them run all over
the neighbourhood the last few months!
These are not wild bush bunnies that
are in abundance around town.
These are pet bunnies that have been
let go to run wild.
Very shameful indeed!

I agree with you, those bunnies should not be out. Someone needs to contact one of the bunny rescue groups.

You are right Brain ~ I was thinking I would go talk to the lovely people at the SPCA today and see what they think!

I've been positively fretting over my bunnies, the last few days! Ice water, cold towels, green leafies... I kept expecting them to not make it - they were pretty strung out and one is so old. They made it!!! Phew!

Poor spring in a tin can!

Oh, Cat, I'm so sorry that your staycation is coming to an end. I hope that you can feel refreshed when you do get into the routine of things, again!!!!!!!

Love, Katy

My plants have really been hurting with the heat lately and I'm watering everyday.

What is with those bunnies?? They are lucky they are alive! Yes, I'd call the SPCA or they are going to be dead long before winter.

During our heat-wave I had water out for the birds and noticed them standing in it several times--Cooling their feet I guess!!

You are right about those cute bunnies!! A few years ago my Mom stopped and picked up a lop-eared rabbit that was sitting by the side of the road in the country. We had "Shelby" for several years, she was so sweet!!

Hi Catherine, poor bunnies! Good thing you give them water it doesn't sound like their owners care much about them. I hope you found some help for them with the spca. Your flower photo is so beautiful! We were in Victoria B.C day before yesterday and it was so hot! Hope you've enjoyed your time off. :-)

Maybe Banjo would like some friends to play with?? Cute bunnies - hope their owners wise up and care for them!! Good reminders to set out water!

Hi Catherine
Those bunnies are very vulnerable to loose dogs and even some bigger cats so I think you have the right idea to check into a rescue for them. People sure can disappoint you. If I knew these people I would go right to their door because I am just like that. Good luck!

It's been a season of extremes, hasn't it? That's such a pretty little bunny ... I'm glad he has you to care for him.

Yes I think a bunny rescue group is needed for these guys! Still hot here and not much rain last night!

Is there a bunny rescue in your area? There is a group in my town that rescues bunnies. Also, maybe the bunny ran away from a home that wants it back. Could you post flyers with its photo?

Oh, poor bunnies=I do not understand people that don't take care of their animals...So good of you to leave out water for the strays in your neighborhood...Enjoy your day.

Poor bunnies!! That IS shameful! Why do people bother to have pets they have no intention of caring for? Grrr

Hi Catherine, I have been changing my bird bath water 2 or more times each day --during this horrible heat.

People buy animals (like bunnies or chickens) for kids --and then when the kids no longer want them, they just throw those pets out into the wild. It's just sad to see that happen... I hope someone picks up that bunny and finds it a good home.

Our heat finally broke yesterday---and we actually had some much needed rain. It's warm today--but not nearly as hot as it has been.

I'm glad you are able to make sure the bunnies have water on these hot days. It's so sad that people let them run free when they shouldn't. I hope the SPCA has a solution that'll protect those bunnies from any harm.

Catherine--We don't need any rain in Iowa. We've had plenty this summer. I'm grateful it's all out of my basment this morning...

That's awful about the bunnies. I wonder if someone got tired of their "pet," and just let them go... :(

Ah, Poor little bunny... I just hate to see that!
It has been pretty hot here also.. If fact I was going to do some crafting this afternoon but I think I am going to get some Ice Tea and soak in my pool!

Love your photos.. Stay cool!

You are such a sweetheart, Catherine!!!
Thinking of all the flowers and wild animals!
I think I´ll go outside to fill my fountain with fresh water, so that the animals around here will have something to drink.
The heat here is tropical, and has been for the last week....
But. I´m not complaining. I just have to think back , on the long, cold winter, and I feel better right away =).

Have a wonderful evening!
