Word of the Day - Perspective

It's pouring
POURING
rain today
the wind is blowing
and it's cold
add into this
snow
yes...
you read that correctly
SNOW
for tomorrow and Sunday
I could cry
and pout
about the injustices of it all
or I could realize that because of
the weather
no yard work
can be done
perhaps it's even too miserable out
to dust
or vacuum
there is really nothing left to do
except make a big mug of
hot chocolate
grab a couple of cookies
a new magazine
and curl up under a blanket
for my Friday afternoon off
therefore
I suspect
the whole weekend
will result in
much of the same...
It's really all in your perspective...

Hope you have a cozy lovely weekend!

Sounds like a great way to spend the weekend especially if Banjo is curled up beside you on that blanket! Enjoy some relaxation while you can until the weekends are filled with yardwork.

Sorry about the bad, cold weather, but it sounds like a great way to spend a lazy day!...Great post, of course, your life is shaped and even created by your perspective="Every moment in life, whether filled with pleasure or pain, has the potential for grace realized."

You are soo right, it's all about the persective. I do feel sorry for you that the weather is still bad. But curling up on the sofa with hot chocolate, a blanket, cookies and a magazine sounds terrific to me. I have to clean my house today. As said, it's all in the perspective!have a happy, happy weekend. xx

No snow for us but looks like it's going to be a wet and windy weekend. I think you have the right idea with the hot chocolate and cookies, I can do cozy.

Yep, setting up a nest of cozy is the only way to deal with this weather injustice :)

I like your rationalization of the weather. There are times, in the dog days of summer, that I wish for snow, a fire in the fireplace and a good book. All in all, I just take what I get--sometimes, however, I do complain!

Thanks for your visit to my blog.

Best,
Bonnie

: ) there's nothing wrong with not doing yard-work — although I'm not one of those plan / schedule people, so...

For rain that is the right perspective.
