Regrets? I've got plenty...

As promised from yesterday's post, I present to you my top 4 regrets in life:

REGRET #1. I regret wasting so many tears on this...ummm...well let's just say it...doofis in the above photo. But luckily, Mr. Right in the photo below came into my life about 5 years later.

REGRET #2 & #3. I regret getting this perm 1 week before I graduated and I regret not getting braces the first time the dentist mentioned it when I was only 16. But look at me now! I haven't had a perm since the very early 1990's and my teeth are nice and straight!

REGRET #4. I regret not living on an acreage where I could have a barn with 100 cats living in it. But look at my beautiful big boy! Who could ask for anything more?

I've got plenty...

But luckily everything turned out how it was supposed to. :)

I think most of us have at least one perm story. Mine is too scary to post:) Must be a rite of passage.

The photo of the kittens and of Banjo is sooo adorable.

You know, they say we shouldn't have regrets. But I do--have them, I mean. Who doesn't? I just don't like to admit them, that's all.

Who doesn't have a doofis or two in their lives? Who doesn't have a bad hair day (year)? Who doesn't wish they could be a crazy cat lady??

Well, I for one like your regrets because they are like mine. I guess they could be a LOT worse, right??

(P.S. We still have time to be crazy cat ladies)

Well until now I forgot about the doofises (yes, plural) in my life too! And I made bad hair decisions at bad times and I would love to be a crazy cat lady too!

Love the photo of you and Banjo!

I think most of us have regrets. I know I sure do! But at the end of the day, mistakes and bad experiences only make us appreciate the good stuff even more. And I know you wouldn't trade that adorable little Banjo for a million kitties. That photo of you and him is absolutely adorable! He sure loves his Mama!

I have learned my biggest lessons from my biggest regrets.

Regrets are a part of life so we learn and move on. I had a perm very similar to yours, I also have regrets over that decision. Love the photo of you and Banjo.

Thanks for stopping by In the Sunny Spot!

You have incredibly beautiful photographs. They're not only well executed but wonderfully deep and meaningful. (The chain in the snow sent shivers down my spine And out of all of those lovely photos, I had to mention THAT one.)

It's funny that you mentioned regrets because, as I was painting and thinking and thinking and painting AND listening to music, one of my favorite songs started playing. The lyrics are perfect (and I mean more than just befitting the subject)!

I've never done or tried this before but, if you are interested, here are the lyrics for the song!

I think that will work.

I'll stop by again. I really enjoyed my visit today!

Love, Katy Noelle

Great post, Catherine... You are such a beautiful woman!!!!! Love your pictures. They always make me smile. I can tell how happy you are now... That is what is so special.

We all make mistakes... Heaven knows, I've made my share.. BUT--things do have a way of working out. That is GOOD.

I had to wait til I was 59 to meet George. Now--we have alot of years to make up for. That's why we celebrate our Month-aversaries as well as our Anniversaries... ha

I love your post. I guess we all have someone , we regret wasting to many tears on...until the right one comes along. Everything happends for a reason, doesn´t it?

Your cat is sooo beautiful, and so are you, my friend.

Take care, and have a nice weekend!

Super series! And, yeah, I loved the doofas pic, too. Talk about one resonating! We usually have many more joys in life than regrets... we just don't keep track of the joys quite as well... so glad you're seeing them, too!

Yep, regret #1 is pretty clear by the photos.

Regret #2 isn't too bad. We've all been there, done that.

Regret #3. Well, I had them as a teenager. But, I didn't follow through with wearing my retainers. So my teeth moved, and as an adult, I decided to get/buy new retainers. Then, again I didn't follow through, and my teeth moved. So I got new retainers (multiple ones) to straighten my teeth again. Now I wear my retainers religious at night!

Regret #4. I regret that, too. I wish I could have a whole farm with a zillion dogs and cats and other critters.

Well, maybe no regrets for you in the end because everything turned out well!

Eek. Don't you just hate typos. I meant "now I wear my retainers religiously at bed time.

Oh my gosh!! That is just too funny.
LOVE that first regret. I'm with you on that one. I think most of us have that "uh oh" relationship somewhere along the line. I hears ya, loud and clear! ;)
Doesn't it feel good to look back on those things that you've made better along the way though? Looks like you've nipped the things you've regretted in the butt! :)
PS: I'm with the group ~ Kittens!! Where did all those little guys come from?

Hey kittykye! These kittens were at a friend's farm a couple springs ago. I was in Heaven!!!

Greetings Catherine,

Regrets we all have them and I have more than a handful myself, but to dwell on them is costly, as it takes us away from the preciousness of the presence.

Have you thought of activating your email so that when you leave a comment at another blog, a direct message, like a thank you can be sent back? Just a thought.

Enjoy your Sunday,

I can't get over Banjo's beautiful blue eyes (I love love love that picture of the two of you)...and your beautiful straight teeth!

I'm willing to bet most of us women have a regret or two involving someone of the male species. sheesh.
